Ho’oponopono is an ancient healing technique having its origins in Hawaii. It was due to its ease of doing and visible healing effects that it has now become popular in other parts of the world too.
What I can say about ho’oponopono is that “It is like a magic wand that gives you astounding results”- let it be anything in the universe, you can in any way-walking, sitting, before sleeping and even without moving an inch chant this four-step healing mantra.
A sudden surge in its popularity came after the news about the Hawaiian therapist Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len who used this healing prayer to heal an entire ward of insane patients without even making an actual visit to the place.
He tried to find out what is in his inner consciousness and what shared memories have manifested this situation in his reality.
He studied their reports for around two weeks and took the responsibility for this situation and repeated the ho’oponopono mantra as many times as he could. He did this with each file. Studying the background and their past history he did his best to remove all the preconceived judgement and notions for each of the patients.
The final results were nothing short of miraculous as the patients showed a phenomenal change in their behaviour.
Just imagine the situation which you want to heal and recite this mantra to yourself. The 4 steps of ho’oponopono prayer are as follows
- Please forgive me
- I am sorry
- Thank you
- I love you
Why ho’oponopono acts as a cleaning tool?
As we know every single entity in this time-space (physical or non-physical) whether it is you or me are interconnected. This interconnection is via the subconscious part of the brain which is a storehouse of memories of various lifetimes.
Whatever we manifest in the outer world is only a reflection of our inner accumulation.
When we encounter any unpleasant situation, it is in actual the triggering up of the past memories via subconscious coming to the forefront via conscious attention so that they can be dealt with in a way that removes all judgement and instills an acceptance for its permanent resolution.
For example, do you keep attracting toxic people again and again? If so, then there is some hidden memory in your deep unconscious which is repeating itself so that you learn the required lesson and let go. Even if you try to resist the situation it may give a temporary relief but can still trigger up anytime as it still resides within you.
This healing technique allows you to reach a zero state- a state where divinely operates by sending inspiration.
In dealing with problems we use our conscious which has a limited perception (collection of some past memories) and can’t perceive of a solution beyond that barriers. Operating from the state of zero memory, we allow divine to interfere who provides us an infinite perception (thinking beyond the stored memories) and divine inspiration leading to the most fulfilling solution
Each repeating memory is a chance for us to find what is inside us that is manifesting as a problem in our outer world. Full responsibility means the acknowledgment that somewhere within your subconscious there is a memory that this event happened.
Now the question is how this affects other entities liked with a particular situation?
The answer is through the collective memory which you share with each entity in the universe.
Taking the responsibility for any situation you also act on the behalf of the other entity to remove the bad data from the collective memory which is manifesting in the form of problem.
Any issue which comes under your knowledge has in some way shared a memory with you even if what you see in the news, as a road accident, a bad weather is nothing but a reflection of your consciousness. If it is coming to your knowledge, you in some way share a collective memory with it.
What have I learned?
We come to earth to learn certain lessons which can evolve our eternal soul. When we resist the acceptance of a situation, it keeps repeating until it has taught us what we are supposed to learn. Though we may not understand this consciously but our higher soul is well aware even before its occurrence.
Ho’oponopono is a simple practice where we even do not need to know what we planned before taking birth. Instead, its four-step process allows us to accept the situation with a sense of forgiveness and then send the high frequency of vibration that is the frequency of love and then saying thank you for believing that our work has been done.
So by accepting a situation, learning what is meant to be learned we allow that memory to permanently get fade away from our mind system.
While using this technique I have noticed that though it may take time to heal the situation (obviously depending upon the level of clutter we have collected in the form of memories around a situation), and also sometimes not in a way in which we have imagined it, it definitely changes our consciousness to see the problem from new perspectives.
The way it heals is always from the broad perspective of the divine. So it is a must to keep an open mind because the way the situation heals may not be consistent with our limited memory but is always for our highest good.
