Admit it; many of us face blocks at some or the other instances of life when we are not able to discern the best path.
Thinking from our limited possibilities sometimes a point comes when we are not able to get any idea or inspiration.
At this point, if you can make yourself aware that you are identified too much with your mind, you can then move closer to the FLOW state.
All creative pursuits demand a FLOW state. Therefore we find most of the creative geniuses to choose nature or recreational places to produce the most marvelous pieces of art.
Yes, other pursuits may sometimes work well under a structured pattern for what has worked as a template of success in the past but creative ideas/ inspiration are not bounded to any structure.
At different instances, the structural pattern may differ. What works in one moment may expect an entirely different approach in another.
Sometimes we seem to get stuck in a situation for so long that it feels like taking too much effort.
The result is either we leaving the goal midway or facing so many ups and downs during the journey that we change our goal instead.
Whatever goal you have, it must have taken birth inside your awareness through inspiration.
And, you must acknowledge that it might have come to your awareness when you were in complete flow state-a state where you were easy with yourself and the moment.
So why this inspiration paves its way when in fact it had to lose its charm midway.
The reason is –we use much of conscious or the controlling mind even in places where it is not required.
All the fields of art and creativity require free flow state; you can’t use pressure to create such a thing.
Even when I sat writing this piece of article, initially I started out with whatever ideas seem to flow in my mind. If I at the same time keep correcting grammar and punctuation simultaneously, I may lose my flow as conscious attention is required.
Now, let us take the analogy of nature or anything that is not manmade.
Everything is perfect in shape and form as it should be unless human intervention is not there.
For instance, trees have a definite Fibonacci pattern that is designed to take max sunlight. It’s all natural. Nobody has to do anything, it simply uses the intelligence of nature.
As a part of nature, we humans are also no different.
Yes, conscious attention is absolutely necessary but when we start identifying the inspiration or pavements with our limited intellect, we are bound to fall again and again.
This is where the concept of surrender becomes helpful.
By surrendering we allow the life for what it is.
Even on a deeper level, everything event, person or situation in your life is divinely planned and timed.
When you allow things to happen, you allow the universe to work through you.
Allowing things means you are present in the moment.
Being present in the moment allows you to be one with the source-The source of all things which is limitless.
Further, by accessing presence you are not identified with past and future since you are allowing things.
Your past failure and an anxiety for future don’t impact your present efforts.
Now at this moment you simply ARE- meaning you are not incomplete in any way.
When you are complete, creative ideas flow seamlessly or better say a FLOW state is obtained.
This is the reason why new age Law of Attraction teachers says.
- Believe that your goals are already accomplished
- Art of Allowing
When we stop the flow state by identifying with things, we want them to happen in a certain way but the universe doesn’t operate in the way our limited intellect wants to.
Because the universe has with it limitless possibilities and it matches our consciousness with the best possibility as is required for the best display of our capabilities and what lessons we have to learn at that moment of time.
You may be adamant at times, seeing it as a loose game but it is in actual the universe in action carving out a much larger possibility for you.
Two simple tools, which can be applied in your day-to-day life for achieving the FLOW state, are.
Being aware we come to the moment. Being in the moment we are not identified with past or future. This leaves no place for ego or any such forms that reduce our capability in any way. In the moment when we don’t think any limiting thought, we tend to perform optimum
We can learn to access the gaps between our thoughts and start becoming who we are (since we are not these fleeting thoughts or mortal body)in essence and start feeling the connection to the source.
We can in time learn to observe our thoughts rather than getting driven by them.
Thus by using the above tools you can achieve a FLOW state and open the portals of creativity and inspiration already available to you.
I would be highly pleased if you leave your thoughts below.
