Why You Shouldn’t Be Too Specific When Asking God

It’s natural to visit your altar and ask God for something specific—
A job at that dream company.
Marriage with that one person.
A particular promotion.
Or anything else you believe will make your life better.

At that moment, it feels like this one desire holds the key to your happiness.

But here’s a deeper truth:
What we want isn’t always what’s meant for us.
Behind that dream, unseen by us, may lie consequences that could harm us in the long run.

Yet when someone suggests letting go of that desire or outcome, our mind resists.
We feel disbelief, maybe even grief.
We cry like a child, holding on to that one dream with all our might.

But as fate would have it, these goals often don’t manifest.
We feel betrayed.
We think, “God doesn’t listen to me.”

The truth?
God does listen.
But He also sees beyond our limited view.
He cannot give you what is not meant for your highest good.
Your soul before you were even born chose this life, this path, these lessons.
This was part of your soul contract.

A Lesson from Hanumanji

Let me share a story to illustrate this.

A woman was going through a terrible phase.
Her life had once been comfortable, but now her husband was ill, and money was tight.
She counted every dollar, trying to stretch every penny to feed her family.

One day at the market, she carefully chose a packet of pulses based on the best offer.
She couldn’t afford to spend even a little more.

Suddenly, she felt the presence of someone beside her (an illusion created by hanumanji)
A subtle energy, an invisible stranger.
She didn’t dare look. The sensation was stressful, overwhelming.
Finally, unable to bear the tension, she turned to look

In that very moment, her hand fumbled.
The packet of pulses slipped and burst open.
One foot landed awkwardly on the other.
Her slipper broke.

Chaos. Embarrassment. Confusion.

But something deeper happened in that moment:
Her attachment to her present reality snapped.
In that brief break between mind and soul, she disconnected from this painful timeline.
Hanumanji used this moment to shift her soul into a better parallel life
A kinder reality.

She didn’t know it. She wouldn’t remember it.
But she had been moved to a timeline where she would thrive.

So What Does This Story Teach Us?

When we’re deeply attached to a specific outcome, our soul gets entangled in the mind’s desires.
We remain stuck in this version of reality.

But when we detach either through deep meditation or life’s unexpected shake-ups
we give the universe space to shift us.In detachment, your soul becomes free. You rise above your mental limitations.
You tap into higher consciousness and that’s when miracles happen.

Is It Wrong to Be Specific With Your Prayers?

Not at all.

But be specific with surrender.
Ask, but without clinging.
Desire, but without desperation.

When you detach from outcomes, your soul becomes receptive.
You align with higher timelines into realities where things are better than you could ever imagine.

Your higher self already knows what’s best for you.
The universe is abundant in possibilities both good and bad exist at once.
Your detachment allows the divine to move you to the timeline that serves your soul’s growth.

So Why Does God Sometimes Not Answer?

Because your request might not serve your highest good.
Because you’re asking from a place of attachment, not surrender.

Instead of saying,
“God, give me this,”
say,
“God, give me what’s best for my soul. I trust You.”

When you do that, you allow Him to shift your soul from one reality to another
from pain to peace, from confusion to clarity.

Final Words

Trust the unseen.
Let go of control.
Pray, but with an open heart not a fixed plan.

Because what awaits you beyond your limited desires is a reality so beautiful, so aligned,
you’ll wonder why you ever resisted letting go.
