Growing up in Kanpur and eating the popular Banarsi shop sweets, especially that motichoor ke laddoo (popular sweet of North India), I am happy to publish their health advice article titled “Belly Controls your Brain” on my blog.
Hello, Kanpur k chatoron( A popular phrase for food lovers from Kanpur town in North India)…We are Banarsi, the chain of sweet distributors, have taken this initiative to enlighten you about your health and to reward you with some good & thought-provoking conflating ideas relevant to your health interest. But let us first ask you.
Did you ever know that your belly controls your brain!!
Hey…… Now, wait!!
Don’t give any weird look to your belly and don’t commence to blame your belly for any of the illogical and unethical deeds that you might have committed in recent days or earlier.
Let us elaborate you more about your gut notion.
You commonly get to hear that eating habits determine the nourishment magnitude of a body and you are also well aware that as any machine’s engine requires good and efficient quality fuel, similarly your body requires healthy, nutritious food and plenty of fluids to keep your belly, brain and body blissful.
But you have always ignored the reason behind your so-called mood swings.
How can you forget that in the morning, you unnecessarily had an ugly fight with your sibling, how can you evade your irrelevant grumpy mood while just sitting on your couch & scrolling down social media posts?
How can you even refuse to acknowledge your secluded notions while being in crowded places?? How you can even prefer not noticing your so frequent inferiority complex??
It’s not even like that you always feel low and underestimated but yes sometimes you are highly delighted and immensely joyful also.
Well, it is an interesting and exhilarating fact that your elated or exasperated mood is also determined by the food you consume as the nutrients present in food are the precursor to neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters are produced in your intestine and your brain and two of them named serotonin and dopamine are known as happy neurotransmitters. If your brain and intestine develop a balanced level of serotonin and dopamine, your emotions will be driven & regulated by situational logic, pragmatism, humor, and irony. On the contrary, if serotonin and dopamine are produced at a low level then mood swings become common. This becomes disastrous for mental & physical health as you will start to experience troubled and distressed emotions, will undergo anxiety pangs, under confidence, feel low in energy, irritable, and if it occurs frequently, it can also lead to depression.
By now you must have got the idea that your belly controls your brain.
Now what you should consume to keep your belly, brain, and body function optimally?
Although we at Banarasi, sell sweets and snacks, we still do understand our responsibility to let you all know all that you should eat to live your life like happy, healthy, and contented individuals.
We would love to see that our Kanpurites( apart from daily exercise, taking sunshine) start to have colorful veggies and seasonal fruits, have nuts, protein, and carbs in their plates. There has to be a balanced diet that must incorporate your taste bud gratifying ingredients, your appetite satiating gravy, your nostril pulsating smell, gastrointestinal amiable food properties, and must have nerve soothing hydrating properties. Do incorporate any sweet in your diet after a healthy meal (if you are a non-diabetic, of course!). If you have a healthy meal and afterward consume a sweet then it can alleviate anxiety and improve mood and in turn, increase your serotonin level (though the consumption of sugar should be balanced as multiple pieces of research are underway).
So, we the stakeholders of Banarsi, urge our customers to start being accountable for their healthy brain, belly, and body. Understand this GuttNotion!!
